A unique multidisciplinary workshop combining evidence-based group intervention (based on UCLA PEERS program) with real-life application to improve participants’ competency & confidence in navigating the social landscape of adolescence.

  • Conversational skills

  • Entering and exiting conversations

  • Appropriate use of humor

  • Electronic communication

  • Being a good sport

  • Organizing get-togethers

  • Handling teasing & bullying

  • Changing a reputation

Attendees will learn target skills through didactic instructions,
role-play demonstrations, and feedback from trained professionals.
Attendees will practice targeted skills during planned social activities.

This workshop is open to adolescents with developmental disabilities
(12 to 17 years of age).

Each attendee is allowed to have a parent or other support individual accompany them free of charge.
